Saudha's Classical Music event SOUND OF SOUL has been cancelled

Due to this pandemic of Corona Virus, Saudha has sadly cancelled its upcoming event of Indian classical music called SOUND OF SOUL in Leeds scheduled to happen at Moortown Methodist Church. 

The event was supposed to feature a trancendental session of Sorod recital by the great grandson of the legendary classical musician of Indian subcontinent Baba Alauddin Khan and the youngest member of Maihar Senya Gharana Shiraz Ali Khan with Tabla accompaniment by a notable Tabla virtuoso Yousuf Ali Khan. 

In addition, the photography exhibition in partnership with the Gronthee called Fading Footsteps of Colonial Calcutta has been postponed, too, which was meant to take place in Kobi Nazrul Centre, Brick Lane on 28 and 29 March. 

The director of Saudha, Ahmed Kaysher says "We are extremely sad to let all of our audience know that this Corona pandemic has left us in this unforseeable situation. Sadly music industry is now having the most adverse impact for this Corona and artists are at the starkest risk in relation to continue with their profession." 

"We are reviewing Saudha's upcoming events in April, too that include Re-Interpretation of Frida Kahlo Through Indian Classical  Music. We will follow national guideline to ensure the highest safety measures in place for our audience and artists. The announcement will be posted soon if we are in a position to postpone this".
