Venue: Rich Mix, 35-47 Bethnal Green Road, London,E1 6LA
Date and Time: Saturday 18 April 2020 at 7pm
A new interpretation of the melancholic world of Frida Kahlo through heart-hunting presentation of Indian classical music.
As part of Saudha's 8th anniversary and the celebration of its great journey in the promotion Indian classical music and other global art forms in the West, this 'first of its kind' event features a spectacular selection of extremely moving and melancholic painting of great Mexican surrealist painter Frida Kahlo through projection and then offers a new way of interpretation of those poignant pieces of art through visceral presentation of Indian classical music.
Curated by the director of Saudha poet Ahmed Kaysher, the event renders a supreme presentation of Indian classical music by the best of the genre (TBC) that decodes, complements, re-interprets and offer new meaning of the pieces of the ground-breaking painting.
