Baul and Vaishnav Music Festival

A free entry festival of two powerful genres of world music is returning to London for fourth year.

The festival, in partnership with RadhaRaman Society, features the ecstatic performances of Bengali Baul & Vaishnav music by number of Baul and Vaishnav groups and prominent performers from home and abroad (two leading Bauls Baul Tuntun Shaiji and Baul Mokoddus Alom Udashi upon visa confirmation), along with the screening of short films, brief discussion on these two major philosophical movement of Indian sub-continent that evolved from Hindu and Muslim (Sufi) faith and had shaken the music, literature, art of the whole region.

The event is supported by London Borough of Tower Hamlets.
